Sandy Gordon-Baker

Managing Director

Sandy is the anchor of the oplus team. She co-ordinates all activities, maintains client reporting and assists with research and development of strategies and programs. Sandy has extensive experience in human resource development, resource planning and scheduling. She has worked at senior executive level for key managers and companies in Australia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Sandy spends much of her time growing relationships with clients and developing new business.

Richard Barber



Richard’s strengths lie in finding the root causes of difficult issues, and working with senior leaders to design and implement constructive, sustainable, practical interventions. This requires him to work at all organisational levels from the Boardroom to front-line teams, to understand and to work on both the immediate and the long-term problems they face.

Richard Spurrett



An accomplished Technology Executive with over 30 years of both technical and commercial business experience in a diverse range of industries and technologies. He has a practical understanding of aligning technology to achieve business outcomes that spans the Boardroom through to customer management.

Richard’s passion is assisting executive and management teams in getting technology to not only meet current business objectives, but also building the capability and credibility of the in-house ICT team to help drive commercial outcomes and thus positively impact the future bottom line. His success stems from an ability to relate to customer, operational, financial and technical viewpoints and aligning their efforts to meet shared challenges. That is, getting the most from people in order to get the most from technology.

Two decades as a CIO and then CEO, plus a reputation for innovative solutions, has provided the pragmatism to understand what is needed to facilitate technology enabled change.

Anne Brand



Anne has had 19 years of experience working as a senior executive in large complex health sector organisations in both Australia and South Africa after initially working at the coal face as a medical practitioner.

She has worked with all levels of staff from professionals to cleaners and a broad range of stakeholders from politicians to consumers to gain consensus on the strategic direction of the organisation; to facilitate change management, simplify processes and to agree and implement the policies and procedures required to embed the vision for the organisation.

Jeremy Kinder



Jeremy is a risk practitioner with 36 years’ experience in the police, corporate sector and as a consultant in Hong Kong before coming to Australia in 2009. His specialities include risk analysis, project partnering and change management.

A Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management (UK), Master Facilitator certified in Advanced Risk Analysis (Simulation and Real Options Analysis), he lectures in quantitative analysis of risk at the Queensland University of Technology.

His experience covers management roles in the public and private sectors in Hong Kong culminating as consultant to the Board of Directors of a publicly listed company Hong Kong.

Mary Lynne Pidcock



A business career spanning 30 years in the fields of education, commercial property and tourism management has fostered the development and application of research, communication, management, organisation and analytical skills over a wide range of roles and specific projects. Mary Lynne has extensive board and committee experience, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has post graduate qualifications in education, business, tourism management, and financial planning.

Garry Saunders



Garry is a marketing and business consultant with broad experience in marketing and brand management and specialised skills in aviation and tourism.

Garry had a successful career with Qantas and jointly managed his own brand consultancy business before working with Oplus.

During his time at Qantas, Garry was posted overseas as Country Manager in Indonesia and Fiji and held a senior marketing role for Qantas in London.

He managed the merger between Qantas and Australian Airlines and managed the Qantas brand for several years.

Garry established his own brand management consultancy in 1997 (with a business partner).

More recently he has specialised in aviation and tourism consultancy.

Garry is a visiting Lecturer in Aviation Management at UNSW.

Rob Campbell



Rob Campbell is a highly respected business performance consultant. Rob works to identify and execute strategy within an organisation. He does this with his strong accounting and community background.

Rob works with organisations by assisting management to identify desired outcomes and executing these through financial and non-financial KPI disciplined measurement and accountability.

Ian Freeman



Ian has some 30 years of experience as a consultant in Strategy, Structure, Business Development, Leadership and Change. He is energetic, analytical and three-dimensional
in both his thinking and his manner of engagement with operators, individuals, teams and organisations.

Bruce Stump



Bruce has been consulting to professional service firms and industry for 5 years and for the 25 years prior to that held executive positions with a number of professional service firms, in particular large national law firms and an international management consulting firm.

He has considerable experience with both the Australian and international operating environments, has done merger and de-mergers of firms and worked through restructuring organisations to facilitate the savings delivered by shared services models.

Chris Tait



Chris’ core capability is in business process improvement and organisational transformation. Chris works collaboratively with organisations to enhance their capacity to achieve the outcomes they want to produce through jointly creating and implementing new business systems, processes and governance structures that enable learning, innovation, accountability and self-responsibility. Chris’ focus is on developing and implementing robust systems, processes and governance structures that encourage strategic and analytical thinking in complex situations - key drivers of organisational capability.

Stephen Wagener



Stephen Wagener is a highly regarded strategic risk management consultant. He has an astute capacity for scrutiny and technical investigation balanced by a practical sense of service delivery and negotiated consensus.

He has a highly developed competence in questioning and analysing complex issues and then delivering facts and sound recommendations to clients and senior decision makers.

Pam Steele



Focus on delivering excellence in customer service by provision of innovative, pragmatic, timely, successful and cost effective change programs . Specialise in conceiving tangible solutions from problem scenarios leveraging existing talent and infrastructure where possible.

Proven personal approach to maximising utilisation of IT resource , enabling it to operate as powerful and effective change agent.

Garth Britton



Garth’s professional experience was gained during a twenty year career in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. His most recent role was as General Director and Senior Vice-President of Nestlé Waters based in Paris. His current interests include developing dynamic approaches to managing organisational change and culture; holistic processes to strategy development and implementation in fast-moving environments; and linking personal and leadership growth to organisational development.

Christine Flynn



Christine has worked in both state and federal public services in Australia where she has been a member of the senior executive teams in key agencies. She is Chairman of the board of a credit union.

Christine’s expertise is in organizational change, leadership development, human resources and industrial relations.

She has worked in a wide range of central agencies and line agencies in public service, including infrastructure, employment and industrial relations.

Graham Le Roux



Graham has 20 years of experience in the Professional Services sector in senior executive positions. He has been a business consultant working for small medium and large enterprises. Graham has specialised as an operations management & service delivery consultant to professional service organisations and other services-centric enterprises.

Douglas G Long



Douglas Long holds a PhD in organisational psychology and has lead major change programs in both the public and private sectors of Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Malaysia. Until 2001 he was, for 12 years, associated with Macquarie Graduate School of Management and, since 2003, he has held a post as a Casual Academic with the Graduate College of Management at Southern Cross University where he supervises Doctoral candidates.

Douglas is the author of 5 books relating to leadership and change and co-author of another. His latest work on how understanding and applying knowledge from neuroscience can impact on leadership and decision making is currently being published by Gower Publications in the UK and will be released as both a hard copy and an e-book early in 2012.

Denise Hagan



Denise has been a Senior Executive in 5 public sector agencies and has personally led many successful organisational transformations, change and engagement strategies, resulting in improved performance. These include creating leadership programs to build the capability of the Queensland Public Service; managing large scale cultural change in an organisation of 73,000 staff and working grass roots leading an innovative, integrated strategy building economic, human & social capital in a remote indigenous community.

Ann Turner



Ann Turner is a management consultant and strategic planner with over 20 years of consulting experience. Prior to this Ann held senior management roles in the NSW and Federal public sectors. Ann has a strong record of successful strategy development and the implementation of major change programs in complex organisations. Her career has featured facilitation of critical stakeholders and people at all levels to develop, agree and commit to the implementation of demanding organisation wide strategies. She has consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver the difficult options through a thorough knowledge of subject matter and the application of structured processes.
